The Bunbury Festival is an annual cricket tournament for the best under-15 boys players in England, founded in 1987 by David English. The event features 56 players divided into four regional squads competing in 50-over and Twenty20 matches.
Attendees can watch future England stars in action; over 90 former participants have gone on to play for England, including captains Michael Vaughan, Andrew Flintoff, and Joe Root. The tournament serves as the first stage in the ECB's Player Pathway.
The festival has a rich history, having been saved from cancellation by David English, who named it after his Bunbury Tales children's books. It is now run by the England and Wales Cricket Board and has also featured future football internationals like Joe Hart and Phil Neville.
