Es klopft bei Wanja in der Nacht is a figure theatre piece by crabs&creatures from Berlin, shown at FITZ! Zentrum für Figurentheater in Stuttgart on Tuesday, 29 December 2026, at 15:00. It is freely adapted from the children's book of the same name by Tilde Michels.

On a night so cold that ice hangs in icicles, Wanja settles down by the stove. Then a shivering hare knocks and asks to come in, followed by a fox and a huge bear. Each guest is afraid of the next, but all promise to forget their rumbling stomachs for a moment so they can warm their fur and paws together.

Pauline Drünert performs the figures and plays, Katharina von Klitzing provides live music and composition, and Ilka Schönbein directs. Tickets start at EUR 8.80, and a discount is available. The venue is at Eberhardstraße 61, 70173 Stuttgart.
