Centroamérica Cuenta: Club de Lectura con Jorge Volpi

The literary festival Centroamérica Cuenta brings its reading club to Madrid for a session led by Mexican author Jorge Volpi. The club will discuss his latest book, *La invención de todas las cosas* (2024), which explores how the fictions we tell shape our reality, from religion and myth to science, art, and politics. Volpi, a prolific writer of more than fifteen novels and several plays, will guide the conversation at the Biblioteca Pública Municipal Pío Baroja in the Arganzuela district.

This free event offers a chance to engage with one of Latin America's most prominent literary voices in an intimate library setting. Volpi's works have been translated into thirty languages, and he currently serves as artistic director of the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque in Madrid. The session is part of the broader Centroamérica Cuenta festival, which will hold its in-person edition in Spain in September 2026.
