The group formed in Salerno as Crecason in 1991 with six members. Their name changed after they met songwriter and producer Claudio Mattone, who saw them performing in Rome dressed in black. In 1995 they won the newcomers section at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Le ragazze".

In 1996 they returned to Sanremo in the main competition with "Mai più sola" and ranked fifth. The current line-up is Ciro Caravano, Gonzalo Caravano, Domenico Pablo "Mimì" Caravano, Mario Crescenzo, Massimo de Divitiis and Daniele Blaquier.
