Carolina Ballet Presents Sleeping Beauty

Carolina Ballet brings the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty to the stage in Raleigh. The company, now led by Artistic Director Zalman Raffael, has been a staple of the Triangle's cultural scene since its professional founding in 1998 under Robert Weiss. Known for blending traditional repertory with new choreography, Carolina Ballet has staged over 100 world premieres.

For this production, audiences can expect a full-length ballet set to Tchaikovsky's iconic score, performed by the company's accomplished dancers. The performance promises to capture the magic of the beloved story with exquisite costumes and staging.

Since its inaugural season in 1998, Carolina Ballet has grown from a $1.2 million budget with sixteen dancers to a $6.0 million budget featuring 38 dancers in eight programs.
