Concertmaster Series at Knoxville Museum of Art

The Concertmaster Series brings the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra into the intimate Ann and Steve Bailey Hall at the Knoxville Museum of Art. These chamber-style performances put the spotlight on KSO Concertmaster William Shaub, who is joined by special guests for each program. With the orchestra's musicians performing up close, the series offers a more personal way to hear classical music than a full symphonic concert.

Behind the series is an orchestra with deep roots in Tennessee. The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest continuing orchestras in the southeastern United States and has performed at the Kennedy Center's SHIFT Festival of American Orchestras. It continues to welcome guest artists, and its youth ensemble, conducted by James Fellenbaum, helps nurture the next generation of musicians. Music Director Aram Demirjian leads the orchestra today.
