Lire tous les détails

Shakespeare & Love brings the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and pianist Adam Golka together for an evening built around the Bard's stories. The program pairs A Midsummer Night's Dream Overture with Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20, and adds suites inspired by Love's Labour's Lost and Much Ado About Nothing.

The orchestra has deep Indianapolis roots, tracing back to musicologist David Urness, who founded an ensemble called the Musicians of the Cloister. It incorporated in 1985 and took the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra name in 1987. The ICO is based at Butler University and performs at the Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts.

Presented as a Christel DeHaan Legacy Concert, the evening is designed for theatrical elegance, blending humor, heartache, and romance in a chamber setting.
