על Tam Cowan
Cowan first reached a wider audience through the football comedy programme Offside, which he fronted across BBC Choice and BBC Scotland from 1998 to 2007, later adapting the format into a live stand-up show recorded at Glasgow's King's Theatre in 2002. He also presented the STV documentary series It's Never Too Late, about adult literacy, and briefly co-hosted the lifestyle programme The Hour with Michelle McManus.
He is best known for presenting Off the Ball, a comedic football phone-in show on BBC Radio Scotland co-hosted with Stuart Cosgrove, mixing football analysis with irreverent humor and listener interaction. Cowan, a lifelong Motherwell F.C. supporter, was briefly dropped from the show in 2013 following criticism of remarks he made about women's football in his newspaper column.
