A Birchola Trio brings a blend of bossa nova and samba to the intimate 38Riv Jazz Club in the Marais. The trio—Agathe Francopoulo (vocals), Francesco Cosentini (guitar), and Nils Wekstein (percussion)—offers a personal interpretation of Brazilian classics, from bossa nova to popular samba and contemporary MPB. Their arrangements and original compositions, guided by Agathe's intense and airy voice, range from delicate saudade to infectious rhythms.

The three musicians bring diverse backgrounds: a guitarist versed in Italian and gypsy music, a specialist in Afro-Cuban percussion, and a singer with a lifelong passion for Brazil.
