Jazz à la Villette 2026

The Getdown brings a vibrant blend of Caribbean and Cuban jazz to the Philharmonie de Paris as part of the Jazz à la Villette festival. Led by organist Laurent Coulondre and drummer Arnaud Dolmen, this septet delivers an energetic set rooted in groove and agile melodies. The project, born from a spontaneous collaboration, has evolved into a flexible collective that places music from the French Antilles and Cuba at its core.

Attendees can expect a dynamic performance featuring Cuban pianist Rolando Luna, Antillean piano virtuoso Mario Canonge, saxophonist Ferdi, trumpeter Yasek Manzano, and flutist-singer Mélodie Spartacus. The opening act is poet and musician aja monet. With keyboards driving melodic verve and drums playing with fluid tempo, the group creates a joyful, boundary-pushing sound that honors influences like Michel Petrucciani while forging its own path.
