This conference brings together two authors who explore mental health through their writing. Pauline Bilisari, a young poet, addresses intimate suffering in her poems and has also published a young adult novel on the theme. Philippa Motte recounts her forced hospitalization at age 30 in her book and now works as a corporate mental health specialist.
The evening will feature a discussion on their respective relationships with creation through the lens of mental health, followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. Attendees can expect a thoughtful exploration of how words can heal, from the pain of existence to the beauty of madness.
Part of the Mental Health Information Weeks in Parisian libraries, this free event offers a unique opportunity to engage with literature as a tool for understanding and expressing psychological struggles.
