Youssoupha Gospel Symphonique Experience

This concert brings together rapper Youssoupha, a pianist, a choir, and an orchestra under the direction of Olivier Koundouno. It blends rap, gospel, and classical music, with Youssoupha's socially conscious lyrics brought to life by the choir and instrumentalists.

Arranged by conductor Olivier Koundouno, the performance draws from film music and grand opera while retaining rap's sampling aesthetic. The original score features no pre-recorded sequences, DJ, or rhythm section, allowing rubato to enhance the phrasing. Pianist Manu Sauvage also joins the ensemble.

Held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, this experience is a unique fusion of genres, offering attendees a live orchestral rap performance that highlights the artistry of Franco-Congolese rapper Youssoupha.
