Steve Knightley & The Winter Yards Band in Exmouth

Steve Knightley, the English singer-songwriter and one half of folk/roots duo Show of Hands, brings his Winter Yards Band to Exmouth for a concert. Knightley grew up in Exmouth and began playing acoustic guitar at Exmouth Grammar School at age fourteen. The set draws from his catalog including the 2024 album *The Winter Yards*, with original songs and folk-infused storytelling reflecting his decades-long career.

The evening features Knightley's acoustic guitar work and evocative lyrics, with the Winter Yards Band adding depth to his sound. Attendees will hear material from his solo albums as well as classics from his time with Show of Hands. Knightley remains a resident of East Devon, and his connection to the region's folk traditions is evident in his music.

This concert offers a chance to see a celebrated artist in an intimate hometown setting. Knightley was named "Songwriter of the Nineties" by BBC Radio 6 Music in 2012 and holds an honorary doctorate of music from the University of Plymouth.
