Informazioni su Black Smurf

He is best known for a run of collaborative releases with the New Orleans duo $uicideboy$, with whom he recorded three EPs under the Black $uicide banner in 2015: Black $uicide, Black $uicide Side B: $uicide Hustle, and Black $uicide Side C: The Seventh Seal. His solo catalogue includes the albums Fathomless (2022), GEN4 (2023), Opaque (2023) and Hustle Hard Die Rotten (2023), alongside tracks such as "Grayscale," "Smoke Break" and "Newport Reds."

Black Smurf's style blends dark, dense trap production with raw lyrics about hardship, hustling and daily struggle, drawing on classic Southern hip-hop foundations combined with modern, sample-heavy production and twisted, moody samples. He maintains an active presence across streaming and social platforms, where much of his output has circulated outside major-label channels, building a cult reputation within underground hip-hop circles.

More than a decade into his career, Black Smurf continues to perform at independent hip-hop shows and festivals and to release new material regularly across his own channels, while his early collaborations with $uicideboy$ remain the best-documented and most widely heard chapter of his catalogue.
