Chasing Abbey
Chasing Abbey are an Irish group formed in 2016 in Tullamore, County Offaly, by childhood friends Ronan Bell, Jonathan Byrne and Ted Conway, who write and produce from their own studio, Penthouse Productions. The trio began performing together after a music teacher at Coláiste Choilm encouraged them to enter a radio talent competition in 2015; DJ Kay Lynn has since performed alongside them as a touring member on bass.

Informazioni su Chasing Abbey
The group's sound blends electronic dance production with traditional Irish music, a style sometimes described as tradhouse, and frequently incorporates Irish-language lyrics. Their 2017 debut single "That Good Thing" became one of the most Shazamed songs in Ireland and led to a deal with 3 Beat UK and Universal Music Group, while "Talk to Me" was adopted as an official track of the Football Association of Ireland. Their 2019 EP The Odyssey Project reached number one on the Irish Music Charts, and 2023's "Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses)" was certified platinum, leading to a further deal with Warner Music and Spinnin' Records.
Much of the group's catalogue engages with Irish history and culture, including "Gorta" and "Coffin Ships," which reference the 19th-century famine, and the bilingual "Arís Is Arís." Live, the band leans on high-energy, sing-along staging and audience participation, at times teaching crowds Irish-language pronunciation during performances, and has supported acts including The Chainsmokers and Rita Ora.
