Mundstuhl is a German comedy duo from the Hesse region, made up of Lars Niedereichholz and Ande Werner. The pair are best known for the characters Dragan and Alder, who speak in a street slang associated with Kanak Sprak. They hosted a weekly afternoon show on Frankfurt's Radio X from September 1997 to mid-1998.
Their first album, Nur vom Allerfeinsten (1998), sold over 200,000 copies, and they received an Echo award for best comedy production in 2000. Further albums followed, including Deluxe (2000), Heul doch! (2001), Könige der Nacht (2003) and Alles inklusive (2004). In 2002 they took part in the German preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest with "Fleisch", placing 11th of 15, and in 2006 they released "Germans", a German-language cover of a Bob Marley song, for the football World Cup.
On television they hosted a weekly Mundstuhl show on Comedy Central Deutschland in 2007, are credited with the Crazy Race films from 2003, and have been guests on programmes such as Gott sei Dank, dass Sie da sind! Their stage programmes have been reviewed in the regional press as politically incorrect, with the duo slipping into various roles and deliberately testing taboos.
