Informazioni su Steve Backshall

Backshall is best known for the Deadly franchise, including Deadly 60 (2008), in which he sought out some of the world's most formidable predators, along with series such as Lost Land of the Jaguar, Lost Land of the Volcano, and Expedition with Steve Backshall. He has written nonfiction wildlife books including Venom (2007) and Looking for Adventure (2011), as well as the fiction series The Falcon Chronicles. He won two BAFTAs in 2011, for Children's Presenter and Factual Series, and was appointed MBE in 2020 for services to charity and conservation.

His work extends beyond natural-history filmmaking: he competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, co-presented the BBC's Big Blue Live in 2015, and later developed the arena show Deadly Live, which combines wildlife footage, live animals, and educational demonstrations.

Backshall, who is married to Olympic rower Helen Glover, continues to produce television series and tour live shows while remaining active in conservation work.
