Teenage Fanclub is a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1989, emerging from the city's C86 scene following the breakup of the Boy Hairdressers. The band draws on alternative rock, power pop, indie rock, and jangle pop, with clear influences from the Beach Boys, the Byrds, Big Star, and Orange Juice. Founding members Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley have anchored the band throughout its history, sharing vocal and songwriting duties.

The band's breakthrough came with Bandwagonesque (1991), which topped Spin magazine's year-end album poll ahead of Nirvana's Nevermind, and Kurt Cobain publicly called Teenage Fanclub the best band in the world. The group supported Nirvana on tour in 1992. Subsequent albums Thirteen (1993), Grand Prix (1995), and Songs from Northern Britain (1997) built on that acclaim, with the latter containing the band's biggest hit, "Ain't That Enough."

Teenage Fanclub has long operated as a democratic songwriting collective, with each member contributing vocals and compositions to the band's albums. Co-founder and co-lead vocalist Gerard Love departed in 2018, with the band continuing on with Blake, McGinley, and other longtime members.

The band has remained active into the 2020s, releasing Endless Arcade (2021) and Nothing Lasts Forever (2023), with a further album, Do Not Dare to Dream, slated for 2026.
