Free Admission Day at Kiasma

Kiasma, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, opens its current exhibitions with a day-long programme across several floors. Inside A Dream in Four Colours, a drawing cart supplies materials while a guide stays close by for inspiration. In the workshop Handprints, participants trace their own hands and add to a shared drawing that keeps evolving as more people join.

Artist and filmmaker Uzair Amjad meets visitors in the same exhibition to talk about his work, which challenges simplified narratives about migration and questions whose perspectives are represented in history writing. The museum also programmes guided tours in Finnish Sign Language, Finnish, Swedish, Russian and English, including an immersion tour in easy Swedish or a mix of Finnish and Swedish, all beginning from the lobby.
