Orchestres Démos: Classical Music for All

Orchestres Démos brings together young musicians from diverse backgrounds for a series of free concerts at the Philharmonie de Paris. These performances showcase the results of a unique social and educational program that provides classical music training to children aged 7 to 12 who might not otherwise have access.

Attendees can expect to hear orchestral works performed by children who have been learning their instruments for three years, guided by professional musicians and social workers. The concerts highlight the program's focus on collective pedagogy, fostering skills like concentration, listening, and creativity.

Since its launch in 2010, Démos has expanded from Île-de-France to over 50 orchestras nationwide, benefiting more than 13,000 children. Supported by the Philharmonie de Paris and national ministries, the event offers a meaningful glimpse into the power of music as a tool for social inclusion.
