Girlschool, the longest-running all-female rock band, brings their punk-tinged metal to The Brook in Southampton. Formed in the 1970s New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene, the band has maintained a worldwide cult following and continues to inspire female rock musicians. Original members Kim McAuliffe and Denise Dufort, along with long-tenured Tracey Lamb, still lead the lineup.
Joining them are Raven, a staple of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, and Alcatrazz, the English-American heavy metal band known for hits like "Island in the Sun" and featuring a rotating cast of guitar legends including Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. The evening promises a triple bill of classic heavy metal energy.
