The Surfrajettes in Bristol

Toronto's The Surfrajettes play an all-instrumental, reverb-heavy set in Bristol, the kind of retro surf-rock the band has built a following on since forming in 2015. The current line-up -- guitarists McKenzie 'Shermy' Freeman and Nicole Damoff, drummer Annie Lillis and bassist Abby Jo Powell -- picked up wider attention in 2018 with a surf-rock instrumental cover of a Britney Spears hit, and have since released two albums on the vinyl-focused label Hi-Tide Recordings: Roller Fink in 2022 and Easy as Pie in 2024.
