The Undertones: 50th Anniversary Show in Birmingham

The Undertones: 50th Anniversary Show takes place at O2 Institute Birmingham in Birmingham on 17 October 2026, 19:00. The Undertones and The Beat are on the line-up. The Undertones are a rock band from Derry, Northern Ireland.

Their first gigs began in February 1976, at minor local venues such as schools, parish halls and Scout huts. The name The Undertones was proposed later that year by drummer Billy Doherty, who found it in his school history book.

The band released thirteen singles and four studio albums between 1978 and 1983. In 1999 they reformed with Paul McLoone replacing lead singer Feargal Sharkey.
