Vivaldi's Four Seasons at Christmas in Bath

The four violin concerti, each evoking a different season, are among the earliest and most detailed examples of program music—Vivaldi translated poetic lines directly into the score, depicting flowing creeks, singing birds, storms, and warm winter fires.

Attendees can expect a performance of all four concertos, lasting about 40–43 minutes, with each movement painting a vivid sonic picture. The concerti were a revolution in musical conception, and this Christmas presentation offers a chance to experience Vivaldi's timeless masterpiece in a seasonal setting.
