Leggi tutti i dettagli
The Israel Festival turns Jerusalem into a citywide stage each spring, with multidisciplinary work spanning classical music, ballet, jazz, theater, visual arts and lectures. Much of the programme is staged in the public realm — at seam lines, meeting points between communities and other urban spaces — so visitors experience the city itself as part of the festival. Street performances and dedicated shows for children are woven into the program.
Rooted in a history that began with classical music in an ancient Roman theater, the festival has grown into a meeting place for local and international work. This edition is conceived as an invitation to pause, with original pieces that open perspectives on reality, fragility, generosity and beauty. For the third year running, the festival also travels to the western Negev and northern Israel, bringing live work to communities beyond Jerusalem.
