Cheap Trick brings its blend of 1960s guitar pop, 1970s hard rock, and punk to Madison. The band, formed in Rockford, Illinois in 1973, has hits including "Surrender," "I Want You to Want Me," and "Dream Police." Fans can expect a set drawing from albums like *Cheap Trick* (1977), *In Color* (1977), and *Lap of Luxury* (1988).
The band's live shows have been performed more than 5,000 times, with a frenzy reminiscent of Beatlemania during their 1978 Japan tour. Cheap Trick was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. The 1979 live album *At Budokan* remains a landmark, going triple platinum.
