Derek Ogilvie
Derek Ogilvie, born in 1965 in Paisley, Scotland, is a self-proclaimed psychic medium who has built a television and live-stage career on claimed abilities to read the minds of children and communicate with the deceased. After running bars and a guitar shop in Glasgow, he launched a psychic career in 2001 with a radio programme on XFM Scotland, then moved into paranormal television, appearing on Most Haunted before Channel 5's The Baby Mind Reader in 2006 made him the first medium to front a UK network series.

O Derek Ogilvie
Ogilvie's television work expanded across Europe, with Dutch broadcaster RTL airing nine series over roughly 80 episodes and Belgium's VTM also carrying his programmes. Since 2008 he has toured extensively as a live stage performer, giving around 300 theatre shows in the Netherlands, including dates at Amsterdam's Koninklijk Theater Carré, under formats such as Up Close and Personal, in which he gives readings to members of the audience. His claimed abilities have also drawn public scrutiny, including a failed controlled test on Channel 5 and a Dutch television exposé.
