Godfrey
Godfrey, born Godfrey Chukwuma Ndubuisi Danchimah Jr. on July 21, 1969, in Lincoln, Nebraska, is an American stand-up comedian, actor and podcast host. Born to Nigerian parents of Igbo descent who had fled the Nigerian Civil War, he was raised in Chicago, attended Lane Technical College Preparatory High School, and studied psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign while playing varsity football.

O Godfrey
He began performing stand-up in Chicago in the early 1990s at the All Jokes Aside comedy club before making his New York debut in 1995 at Caroline's on Broadway and the Comic Strip Live, after which he signed with the William Morris Talent Agency. His screen credits include the films Zoolander, Soul Plane, Original Gangstas and Johnson Family Vacation, and television appearances on 30 Rock, Louie and Wild 'n Out; he also voiced characters on The Mr. Men Show and hosted the Fox game show Bullseye.
Godfrey has released two one-hour stand-up specials, Black by Accident on Comedy Central in 2011 and Regular Black on Showtime in 2016, and has performed at major comedy festivals including the Aspen Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs in Montreal. He hosts the podcast In Godfrey We Trust.
He remains a regular performer at New York's Comedy Cellar and continues to tour as a stand-up headliner.
