The Comedy Store Players
The Comedy Store Players are a British improvisational comedy troupe based at the Comedy Store in London, founded in October 1985. The original line-up featured Kit Hollerbach, Dave Cohen, Neil Mullarkey and Mike Myers, joined a month later by Paul Merton.

O The Comedy Store Players
Over four decades the ensemble has included performers such as Jeremy Hardy, Sandi Toksvig and Jim Sweeney, who joined in 1992, performing improvised comedy games including Freeze Tag, Whoops and Guess the Job. The shows use no script, no host and no points system; players take turns introducing and performing each game.
The troupe began weekly Wednesday performances in 1989 that continued until 2020, and toured nationally in 1990 and 1991. In 1993 the Comedy Store relocated to its current home near Piccadilly Circus. In 2010 the group entered the Guinness World Records for the longest-running comedy show with the same cast, and is regarded as the longest continuously running comedy troupe in the world.
Today's regular cast comprises Josie Lawrence, Neil Mullarkey, Lee Simpson and Richard Vranch, joined in 2024 by Ruth Bratt as the first new permanent member in nearly three decades. The group marked its 40th anniversary in 2025 and continues to perform a different improvised show every Sunday at the London Comedy Store.
