Alibi (The murder of Roger Ackroyd) - von Agatha Christie, Leer

Alibi (The murder of Roger Ackroyd) - von Agatha Christie is a stage play at Theater an der Blinke in Leer on 3 June 2027 at 19:30. Tickets start at EUR 9, and a discount is available. The story follows Hercule Poirot, who had planned to retire in England and grow pumpkins.

His expertise is needed next door, where the residents of Fernly Hall are certain that the death of the rich widow Mrs. Ferrars was suicide. When her fiancé Roger Ackroyd is found dead shortly afterwards, it is clear this is no coincidence. Poirot takes on the case together with Dr. James Sheppard, a local doctor.

The production continues the "Queen of Crime" series. Agatha Christie's novel appeared in England in 1926 and was the first work by the author to be adapted for the stage. The new stage version is by Mark Shanahan.

Theater an der Blinke in Leer reopened in January 2011 after extensive modernisation. Its auditorium has 753 seats plus 8 places for wheelchair users.
