The Sounds of Africa: Richard Bona, Fatoumata Diawara & Achim

This concert brings together three distinct acts rooted in African musical traditions. Richard Bona, the Grammy-nominated Cameroonian bassist and vocalist, leads his quintet through a blend of jazz and world music. Malian singer and guitarist Fatoumata Diawara performs her fusion of Wassoulou folk with blues and jazz. The Achim Seifert Project opens the evening with contemporary jazz compositions.

The event is part of a series celebrating African sounds, offering audiences a chance to experience both established and emerging artists from the continent. Each act brings a unique perspective on African music's global influence, from Bona's virtuosic bass work to Diawara's powerful vocals and Seifert's modern jazz arrangements.
