An Evening With IKO Allstars at Tipitina's

The IKO Allstars bring their signature New Orleans spin on Grateful Dead classics to Tipitina's. Founded by guitarist Billy Iuso and drummer Mike "Fou" Fouquier, the band recruits top local talent to form a six-piece lineup that has included Reggie Scanlan, Mike Doussan, Brian Stoltz, Papa Mali, John Gros, CR Gruver, Willie Green, and Johnny Vidacovich.

Each Allstar brings a deep love for both New Orleans music and the Dead's jam-oriented repertoire, creating a unique fusion that pays tribute to the band's legacy. The group's lineup mirrors the Grateful Dead's structure, but with a distinct Crescent City flavor that bleeds purple, green, and gold.

Attendees can expect an evening of extended jams and familiar songs reimagined through a New Orleans lens. The IKO Allstars have been riding a wave set in motion in 1965, perpetually jamming on songs heard many times, but in many different ways.
