Adema
Adema is an American rock band formed in 2000 in Bakersfield, California, playing a mix of nu metal, alternative metal and post-grunge. The founding lineup comprised vocalist Mark Chavez, guitarists Tim Fluckey and Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo and drummer Kris Kohls. A major-label bidding war, fueled partly by the band's connections to Korn singer Jonathan Davis, led Adema to sign with Arista Records in October 2000.

О Adema
The self-titled debut album, released in August 2001, reached number 27 on the Billboard 200 and later earned a gold certification on sales topping a million copies worldwide. Singles "Giving In," "The Way You Like It" and "Freaking Out" charted on mainstream and modern rock radio, though reviews were mixed, ranging from AllMusic's four stars to cooler notices elsewhere.
The band's history has been marked by near-constant turnover. Ransom left in 2003 and Chavez departed in 2004; singer Luke Caraccioli filled in for about ten months before Adema went on hiatus in 2008. The original lineup reunited in 2009, and Fluckey handled lead vocals from 2011 to 2017. Chavez rejoined in March 2017, exited again in June 2019, and was replaced by Ryan Shuck, who left in February 2024.
Adema now continues as a four-piece with Fluckey, DeRoo, Ransom and Kohls. The band has signed with Cleopatra Records and is recording a fifth studio album, Cruel Machine, planned for release in 2026.
