О Noname
She released her debut mixtape, Telefone, for free on Bandcamp in 2016, followed by her debut studio album, Room 25, in 2018, and her second album, Sundial, in 2023. Her music blends hip hop with jazz rap and neo soul, and she is a member of the group Ghetto Sage alongside fellow Chicago rappers Smino and Saba.
Beyond recording, Noname founded the Noname Book Club in July 2019, a project curating radical texts by authors of color that has grown to include political education classes, book drives, and donations to incarcerated readers, run in partnership with independent bookstores and libraries.
She has been an outspoken voice on social justice, anti-capitalism, and Palestinian rights, positions that have shaped both her public persona and the themes running through her music, which draws on influences including Nina Simone, Andre 3000, and Missy Elliott.
