Straight No Chaser
Straight No Chaser is an American a cappella group formed in 1996 at Indiana University in Bloomington, where the original ten members performed together as students until graduating in 1999. The group's name references the title track of Thelonious Monk's 1967 album Straight, No Chaser.

О Straight No Chaser
A 2006 YouTube upload of the group's 1998 comedic arrangement of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" drew tens of millions of views, leading Atlantic Records to sign the reunited founding members to a five-album deal in 2008. Their debut release became the top-selling album on both iTunes and Amazon following a run of national television appearances.
Since reuniting, the group has released multiple studio and holiday albums, including a 2013 record featuring collaborations with Elton John, Dolly Parton and Stevie Wonder, blending comedic arrangements with straightforward pop and holiday covers performed entirely by voice.
Straight No Chaser continues to tour widely as a professional a cappella act, drawing on both its original student-era material and newer studio recordings.
