It decided on this focus at the end of 2021. It began with Marius Ader and Thomas Matiszik, who performed with keyboard and vocals in bars, pubs and live clubs. The group has since grown into a full band with six instrumentalists on stage.
The programme covers a cross-section of Billy Joel's work, from the early "She´s Got A Way" to "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" and "All About Soul". "Piano Man" is also in the programme. Thomas Matiszik also shares background information about Billy Joel's life during the show.
Scala Club Leverkusen is in the Opladen district in the north of Leverkusen. The venue also houses the restaurant Canapé and the Scala Cinema.
