Verleihung des Literaturpreises 2026 der Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung an Valeria Gordeev - Laudatio, Preisverleihung & Lesung

The award ceremony Verleihung des Literaturpreises 2026 der Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung an Valeria Gordeev - Laudatio, Preisverleihung & Lesung takes place at Literaturhaus Frankfurt in Frankfurt on 5 November 2026, 19:30. The evening consists of a laudatio, the award ceremony and a reading, and it is held as a hybrid event. The prize honours authors whose first work has convinced a publisher but has not yet been published.

The 2026 prize goes to Valeria Gordeev for her novel „Die Zikade entschlüpft ihrer goldglänzenden Hülle“, which is published by S. Fischer. The prize carries an endowment of 25.000 Euro. Previous winners include Einar Schleef, Sasha Marianna Salzmann, Deniz Ohde, Kim de l' Horizon, Charlotte Gneuß and, most recently, Marina Schwabe.

This year's jury is Daniela Strigl, Miriam Zeh of Deutschlandfunk and Hauke Hückstädt, head of the Literaturhaus. A hall ticket costs 7 euros, or 4 euros with a discount. A streaming ticket costs 5 euros and a streaming subscription 50 euros.
