Sinfoniekonzerte 26.27 - 6. Sinfoniekonzert is a symphony concert at Eurogress Aachen in Aachen on Saturday, 24 April 2027, at 19:00. The programme pairs Ludwig van Beethoven with Hector Berlioz.
It opens with Beethoven's Ouvertüre Nr. 3 zu »Leonore« op. 72b and continues with his Konzert für Klavier und Orchester Nr.
5 Es-Dur op. 73. Hector Berlioz's »Symphonie fantastique« op.

The overture was heard at the start of the 1806 premiere of the second version of Beethoven's opera »Fidelio«, which was performed under the title »Leonore oder Der Triumph der ehelichen Liebe«. In English-speaking countries the fifth piano concerto carries the nickname »Emperor«.
Berlioz's programmatic symphony centres on an artist who falls unhappily in love and takes opium. The concerts of the Sinfonieorchester Aachen take place at Eurogress, whose Europa Saal holds 1.700 people. Tickets start from EUR 19, and a discount is available.
