A Christmas Carol Musical in Mantova

This musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella features music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge's transformation after visits from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Songs include "The Years Are Passing By" and "Link By Link."

The production premiered at New York's Madison Square Garden in 1994 and ran annually through 2003. Notable actors who have played Scrooge include Kelsey Grammer, Tim Curry, and Roger Daltrey. The Mantova performance continues this tradition with a professional staging of the classic tale.
