Bach + Brahms at Atlanta Symphony Hall, 5 November 2026

Bach + Brahms is an Atlanta Symphony Orchestra concert at Atlanta Symphony Hall in Atlanta on 5 November 2026, 20:00. It continues Brahms Revealed, the season-long Brahms festival. Music Director Nathalie Stutzmann opens with an orchestral suite by Johann Sebastian Bach, whom the notes call Brahms's hero.

The programme then turns to the Academic Festival Overture, which Brahms wrote after officials at the University of Breslau awarded him an honorary degree and hoped for a symphony. The overture is packed with student drinking songs. The concert also includes Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2, written in 1881, with pianist and ASO Artist-in-Residence Anna Geniushene as soloist.
