The Seattle Kraken host the St. Louis Blues for a regular-season NHL matchup. The Blues arrive with recent history of organizational change: during the 2024-25 season, they fired head coach Drew Bannister and hired Jim Montgomery, who had been dismissed by the Boston Bruins days earlier. Montgomery previously served as an assistant coach with the Blues under Craig Berube.
The Blues also clinched a playoff berth that season for the first time since 2022, ultimately losing a seven-game first-round series to the Presidents' Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets. The Kraken will look to defend home ice in Seattle.
