Dexy's Midnight Runners
Dexys Midnight Runners are an English band formed in Birmingham in 1978 by Kevin Rowland and Kevin "Al" Archer, both previously of the punk band The Killjoys. The group's sound combined pop rock and new wave with blue-eyed soul and Celtic folk influences, and its large, shifting lineup was built around Rowland as the sole constant member.

نبذة عن Dexy's Midnight Runners
The band's biggest hit, "Come On Eileen," topped both the UK singles chart and the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1982 and won the 1983 Brit Award for Best British Single. Earlier single "Geno" also reached number one in the UK, and their cover of "Jackie Wilson Said (I'm in Heaven When You Smile)" was a top-five hit. Their albums Searching for the Young Soul Rebels (1980), Too-Rye-Ay (1982), and Don't Stand Me Down (1985) chart the band's stylistic evolution.
Dexys were active from 1978 to 1986 before Rowland reformed the group in 2003. The band has continued recording since, releasing The Feminine Divine in 2023 and maintaining a live touring presence decades after its initial run of hits.
