نبذة عن Vince Staples
His music is rooted in West Coast hip-hop with often bleak, conscious lyrical content, layered over production that incorporates avant-garde, dance, and electronic elements. His 2015 debut album, Summertime '06, produced the platinum single "Norf Norf" and established him as a distinctive voice in contemporary rap; 2017's Big Fish Theory earned wide critical acclaim for its experimental production.
Staples continued releasing albums through FM! (2018), Vince Staples (2021), Ramona Park Broke My Heart (2022), and Dark Times (2024), his final release for Def Jam, before moving to Loma Vista Recordings as an independent artist. He won the BET Hip Hop Award for Impact Track in 2014. Beyond music, Staples has acted in films including Dope and White Men Can't Jump and created the Netflix series The Vince Staples Show.
