The 40th International Ankara Music Festival turns the Turkish capital into a city-wide stage, with seven venues hosting more than 800 local and international artists. The programme spans symphonic concerts, opera, recitals, ballet, modern dance, choral music, jazz and world music, blending Anatolian tradition with performers from around the world. The opening concert features the Ankara Festival Orchestra with Orhun Orhon and Ezgi Karakaya; the closing night pairs the Presidential Symphony Orchestra with the State Polyphonic Choir and soloists including Marie-Pierre Langlamet and Burak Onur Erdem.
International guests include the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra with the Georgian State Polyphonic Choir, the Jakarta Concert Orchestra with the Batavia Madrigal Singers, and the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra. Organised by the Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation, the festival has become a lasting marker of Ankara's cultural identity. For visitors, this edition is a chance to hear leading ensembles from different musical worlds in one city.
