THIEF (LA) Leads Dark Electronic Lineup at Valley Bar

Valley Bar's Phoenix stage hosts a dark electronic, post-punk, and noise bill headlined by THIEF (LA). The project of multi-instrumentalist Dylan Neal, THIEF blends trip hop, industrial, metal, and experimental electronics with manipulated sacred chant and choral samples — a sound its creator calls 'Dungeon Pop,' shifting between ethereal choirs and towering walls of sound.

Support comes from Phoenix's own Le Mal, whose post-punk and cold wave is built on minimalist electronic textures, and Taciturn, adding a noise-punk edge. Terminal 11, the experimental electronic and video art project of Phoenix artist Michael Castañeda, completes the night with a maximalist mix of sound design, field recording, and electronic composition. Together, the four acts trace the darker intersections of electronic and heavy music.
