Grand Rapids Ballet: The Nutcracker

Clara and her Nutcracker Prince journey from a festive holiday party to a battle with mischievous mice, and then to the Land of Sweets, where the Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes them with dances from around the world, including the Waltz of the Flowers. The choreography is by Val Caniparoli, sets are by Chris Van Allsburg and Eugene Lee, and the Grand Rapids Symphony performs Tchaikovsky's score live.

The production is a local holiday tradition, featuring elaborate stage designs and a full live orchestra.
