Über Charlotte FC
The team plays its home matches at Bank of America Stadium, drawing a crowd of 74,479 for its March 2022 home debut, at the time the largest single-match attendance in MLS history. Charlotte also beat Chelsea on penalties in a preseason friendly that year.
Charlotte FC reached the MLS Cup playoffs via the Wild Card round in 2023 and the Leagues Cup quarterfinals the same year, finishing fifth in the Eastern Conference in 2024 and fourth in 2025 under head coach Dean Smith, who took over in December 2023. The club's supporters, organized around groups such as the Mint Army, have built one of MLS's largest average attendances since the franchise's first season, helping establish soccer as a fixture in a city long dominated by college and NFL football.
