The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in Concert

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in Concert is a film screening with live music at T ARENA in Brno on 2 May 2027, 19:00. The film is shown in English with Czech subtitles, while a 230-piece orchestra, choirs and international soloists perform the score by composer Howard Shore. The first part of the trilogy was directed by Peter Jackson and based on the book by J. R. Tolkien, and 25 years have passed since its premiere.

Ten years after a sold-out performance with a live orchestra at the O2 arena, the production returns. The score uses styles and instruments from various corners of the world for the different elements of Tolkien's saga. Celtic tones are used for the hobbits, and rough male choruses for the dwarves.

Japanese taiko drums, metal bells and chains striking the piano strings are used for the orcs, and brass instruments represent the world of men. The production is the only licensed original production in the Czech Republic, authorized directly by Howard Shore. A handling fee of 30 CZK applies.
