About Chicago Sky

The Sky won their first WNBA Championship in 2021, defeating the Phoenix Mercury three games to one in the Finals. The title was notable because Chicago entered the playoffs as the lowest seed and without a winning record, becoming the first team to win a championship under the modern playoff format from that position.

The franchise also reached the WNBA Finals in 2014, losing to Phoenix, and claimed an Eastern Conference title that same season. Over the years the Sky have produced multiple award winners, including Rookie of the Year honorees, a Defensive Player of the Year recipient, and numerous All-Star selections.

Home games are played in Chicago, where the Sky have built a fan base around a roster that has featured a mix of homegrown draft picks and veteran additions across the franchise's history in the league.
