About Electric Six
The band's sound blends alternative rock, funk rock, hard rock, and glam elements with disco and synth-pop touches. Their 2003 debut album Fire brought breakthrough success with the singles "Danger! High Voltage," which reached number two on the UK singles chart, and "Gay Bar," which reached number five.
Electric Six emerged from Detroit's mid-1990s rock scene alongside acts such as The White Stripes, and has maintained a prolific recording output, releasing more than twenty studio albums in the decades since Fire. The band continues to tour internationally, including anniversary shows revisiting its early material, and has used crowdfunding campaigns to support new releases.
